Whether you鈥檙e a skier, snowboarder, or tuber or just want to enjoy the fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery of the great outdoors, NEC undergraduate on-campus and undergraduate commuter students get to enjoy free skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at Pats Peak. We also host a variety of events at the ski area, and Pats Peak is home to our NCAA alpine skiing team.

2025鈥�2026 Season Passes to Pats Peak

Pats Peak uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for electronic access to the lifts. Qualified undergraduate residential and undergraduate commuter students, faculty, and staff will need an RFID Pats Peak Season Pass to use when skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing.

New Hampshire Is a Playground

Undergraduate on-campus and undergraduate commuter NEC students are eligible for free lift tickets at Pats Peak, just two miles from campus, Monday through Friday and free tubing on Saturday nights with an RFID Pats Peak Season Pass. Holidays, vacation weeks, and rentals are excluded. But it only costs $10 to rent skis or a snowboard. Season Passes can be requested at and picked up at Pats Peak Guest Services.

Annual Pats Peak Takeover

Each winter, NEC Takes Over the Peak. This longstanding tradition is open to everyone in the NEC community, whether you enjoy winter sports or not. The day includes food, drinks, live music, games with prizes, a fire pit with s’mores, and more. Get out on the slopes with free skiing, snowboarding, and tubing, or spend the day in the lodge. Either way, this annual event is one of a kind.

Night Skiing

Pats Peak offers the most diverse terrain for night skiing in northern New England, with the only beginner run in the state open day and night. Whether after work or after school, head to Pats Peak to relax on the slopes and enjoy 100% of the central mountain lit for night skiing. Pats Peak has the most lit double-diamond terrain and glades in northern New England.
